Management

Katy Joyce

Katy has been working here since fall of 2012. She came to us after running another facility in Fairfield County for 12 years, prior to that she helped Dr. Mandel, as his administrator, open BayBrook Animal Hospital when it was on New Haven Avenue in the late ’90′s. She started in the field of veterinary medicine in the mid 80′s as a receptionist, and worked her way through all the positions in an animal hospital until she was a Certified Veterinary Technician and finally a Hospital Manager. She has a teenage daughter, an Australian Shepard, a huge Shepherd/Hound/Mastiff mix and a fat orange cat in her Norwalk home and shares ownership of 2 Oriental Shorthairs with her long term beau in Stamford. She believes her job is really her vocation that makes life worthwhile.  When she isn’t working she is cooking, gardening, doing needlework, & watching movies, all while spending time with her family and pets.

Lucy Fanning

Lucy & Ozzie

Lucy comes to us from a couple of animal hospitals in the area, she is the calming force at our front desk. When she isn’t with us she is home with her husband Gary, an executive chef at a country club in Westport, CT, and her daughter.  She owns a darling Shepherd cross, Ozzie, pictured with her and a sweet kitty named Rosie.  During hospital celebrations we can count on her to bring home made cupcakes and on busy days she is there keeping the wheels running without a hitch.

Angela Izzo

Angela is excited about being part of the Pond Point Animal Hospital Team!  You will see her alongside Susan and Lucy at the front desk.  She has two beautiful children. Her daughter Valentina is 12 and enjoys gymnastics and her son Rocco is 10 and loves Soccer.  When she isn't running around town with her active family, Angela is cuddling with her precious pug Carly Rose Hoofnagel Von-Frye, beloved Persian cat Gnocchi, adorable parakeet Cian, two oscars Zeus and Zoolander, catfish Earl and tin foil barb Agadore!  When she's not working she enjoys drawing, cooking and spending time with her family!

Kennel

We have 2 long term Kennel Attendants. All our boarders are hand leash walked and played with during their stay.  It is nice that the staff they see are the same year in and year out.  It creates a secure environment we are proud of. If one of our staff is unable to work, another pitches in and covers, so it is always the same three wonderful caregivers.

Amy Demayo

Amy is our afternoon kennel attendant.  She has been with us for 9 years and works Monday through Friday to care for any pets staying with us and then cleans the office to be ready in the morning. Faithfully, she keeps our facility in tip top shape.  We are very proud of all the reviews that comment on our cleanliness and we can thank Amy for much of that. We want our patients to be as comfortable as possible. Keeping strange animal smells to a minimum when they visit is our goal. Amy's profile can be seen in the banner photo with our mascot Rusty playing with her hair.

Brian Piasecki

After being our part time attendant for nearly 5 years, Brian has become a full time kennel person, M-F mornings and every weekend.  Over the years, Brian has become an integral part of many of our boarders families due to his caring and even temperament.  For him, losing one of our long term boarders is like losing a best friend.  When he isn’t walking or feeding a furry friend he is scrubbing some part of our office that needs cleaning or hefting some heavy item we need moved. We are grateful we have such a caring team keeping our facility in spotless shape and our boarders happy and secure.

Resident Cats

Rusty
rustyRusty and his sister came to live here in May 2004 when they were 8 weeks old. Currently, Rusty assists the veterinary technicians in the hospital. Although Rusty usually stays away from the hubbub, he does like to flirt. He particularly likes to drink from water bottles. He’s usually able to manage a nap or two despite his busy work schedule. On his free time he usually can be found bird watching.

Tiger Lily
lilyTiger Lily also arrived with her brother in May 2004 at 8 weeks old. When she was old enough, she took up her duties as the front office supervisor where she keeps an eye on the receptionists and greets clients. She is the self appointed box investigator, all boxes must pass her sniff and relax test. Despite her rigorous schedule, she does manage to squeeze in an afternoon nap or two. Lily’s hobbies are purring and also bird watching.
